After many years of 'lurking' on this website and downloading and using sounds for my projects, i am happy to hopefully contribute something useful to this site. I am not a professional audio tech or anything related, but i do own a zoom h5 recorder and had to make some recordings for one of my multimedia projects. Demonstrations in support of the victims of the charlie hebdo shooting in paris has take place in over 30 dutch towns and cities on today january 6th, 2-15, 6pm. This demonstration is recorded in 's-hertogenbosch. No shouting but a stately protest.

In 's-hertogenbosch in holland we have carnival every year. This is a recording in the centre of the city. A recording of several 'dweilorkesten' that is a band that plays musing in the street. 'literal' translation is 'mop band or mopping band'. The go trough the streets like someone mopping the floor. This recording at the market-place is made with hundreds of people around. The ambience here is totally different from other places in the town and the world. It complete different than the south american carnival. Recorded: march 7th 2011, markt, 's-hertogenbosch, holland. One meter wide, dead-end alley in my down-town city. At the end of the street is the main shopping street. The bird you hear are sparrows arguing. I'm sitting in the half away the small street with the headphone on and suddenly this man with a trolley came from behind. Not good for my health. It's a warm day in june 2011.
